HigherValues

Organizations have unique cultures and provide greater satisfaction to team members who have similar priorities. We all thrive when we perceive that the values of the organization we are part of are similar to our own personal values. Too many people have great skills and the ability to do their job but are in an organization that feels toxic or foreign because their own values are too dissimilar from those of the organization. That’s doable, but it requires much more effort and is not much fun. You don’t want that!

You will see many sets of two words, each with a definition. Each of the words and definitions describes a type of organizational culture. None are either superior or inferior to others; they’re just different. Choose the one that best describes what you believe your organization should be like – where you would best thrive. Think about the culture of the whole organization, and not just a position.
